Around 8 years ago, Steve received a 'Person of the Year' award from the company running the SX season, Feld Inc., at the Supercross Banquet.  Fast forward to 2010 and he now owns the rights to the 'Lifetime Achievement' award given out to people who give many years of support and dedication to the SX Industry.  Feld Inc., awarded him with a trophy and a very nice watch, but the SX industry awarded him with a standing ovation and kind words.  "There is not a higher award that I would want," Steve said.  "I can't tell you how awesome it is when the people you work with and invest in say that they appreciate you."

"Seeing young men through good and bad times, applauding them, investing in them and their families - so many times I ask God, 'Why am i here?' and this award says it all to me.  I am consistently asking God if this is where He wants me to be and this was a great validation for me.”

In collaboration with ministering the Professionals of the SX and MX industry, Steve is on staff with Fellowship of Christian Athletes Motocross ministry (FCA MX).  This ministry has camps and teams around the country to present the challenge of receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Most often you will see Steve at one of these camps as the Chaplain teaching kids how to grow spiritually and he recruits professional racers to teach the kids how to race.  So the campers are getting growth on and off the track.

Living in Charlotte, NC has brought Steve the opportunity to minister to the Joe Gibbs Motocross Racing facility and Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Racing facility.  He is not exclusive to the teams, but each week Hudson shares an inspirational message and counsels the employees. 

“Ministry is an important part of our mission at Joe Gibbs Racing,” said Coy Gibbs, race team owner.  “Steve has the ability to connect with the young people that predominately make up the motocross industry, which can be difficult to do.  We are lucky that he is local to us so we see him every week at the shop.”
